“It’s a bug that cars were invented before computers. Your car should drive itself. It just makes sense,” said Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
Apparently, Google has been working on a secret project to fix that bug. According to TechCrunch, Google modified several Toyota Priuses and an Audi TT to create completely automated vehicles. So far, the cars-that-drive-themselves have driven 1,000 miles without any assistance and have driven a total of 140,000 miles around northern California with occasional human control.
